Delaware Physician License 2026: DE BME Process, IMLC Fast-Track, Timeline & Christiana Care / Bayhealth / Nemours Credentialing
Delaware has no medical school and depends entirely on out-of-state trained physicians. The primary market is Wilmington/Newark (Christiana Care). The $250 fee and IMLC membership make DE an easy add-on for Philadelphia/South Jersey/MD corridor physicians.
Major health system credentialing (DE)
- Christiana Care Health System (Newark / Wilmington): 90-120 days. Largest DE health system; Level I trauma, Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center partnership, strong EM and oncology demand.
- Bayhealth (Dover / Milford): 90-120 days regional; serves central and southern Delaware.
- Nemours Children's Health (Wilmington): 120-150 days pediatric subspecialty credentialing.
- Beebe Healthcare (Lewes): 90-120 days community; coastal resort market with strong seasonal demand.
